Senior Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Work in a fully agile environment with senior engineers and business side;
• Participate in designing and development of the fault-tolerant, highly available, and optimized solutions;
• Design and implement a set of various types of tests (unit, integration, functional, etc);
• Participation in code review of other team members, backlog grooming and retrospective.‍

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development with Ruby;
• In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL (i.e. N+1 problem, transactions, etc.);
• Strong commitment to writing 100% tested code with RSpec (TDD/BDD preferred);
• Ability to understand code and external documentation;
• Ability to find optimal solutions considering various factors like time-to-result, support costs, and feature lifespan;
• Good communication skills.

‍Nice to have:

• Good English proficiency;
• Familiarity with Redis, Sidekiq, Kubernetes, Kafka.
